The megadrive, known as the Genesis in the US is a 16 Bit console made by Sega, it is the successor to the Master system.

GBA code

There was a very early project around the launch of the GBA although it was aborted due to technical difficulties (impossibilities really).

However many SNES/Megadrive era games have since been ported to or had the series revisited on the GBA here are just a few: Phantasy Star Collection - contains Phantasy Star 1,2 and 3 Earthworm Jim Earthworm Jim 2 Sega Smash pack - Ecco the Dolphin, Sonic 1 and Golden Axe Sega Arcade Gallery (not technically a megadrive title but good stuff by Sega) - After Burner. Space Harrier, Out Run and Super Hang On Road Rash - Jailbreak Sonic the Hedgehog - Genesis Breath of Fire 1 and 2 Rampart Aero the Acro-Bat Shining force

DS code

There are two emulators available but only one is in a workable condition.

Picodrive DS

Supports reading/writing of the memory card on the EZ4 as of v0.16 and has supported appended files (use the dos command copy /b) and can use the SRAM to save since the previous version for use with other carts in the EZFlash range.

Speedwise it varies depending on the title but RPG games such as Phantasy Star 4 can achieve an extremely playable experience.

Picodrive Homepage

The first attempt/demo of an emulator goes by the name of GPNDS and is a port of Genesis Plus, owing to it being a very early stage port it runs very slowly and for game playing purposes compared with Picodrive above it does not even come close.

PC Code

There are several available but for most it is a competition between Gens32 and Kega Fusion:
