PostPosted: Thu Dec 15, 2005 7:50 am
Hello,

when I made my own skin, the EZPDA Version is V1.22a. I use the rombuildpro.rom from EZ-Manager 2.09b with the rombuilder.

The new one is V1.25, where can i download the rombuildpro.rom in Version V1.25? Please help me.

Sorry for my bad english, but I am from Germany.

rombuildpro.rom is inside the \sysbin\ folder when you download ez3manager. This will be the newest version, so just copy that over to the \res\ folder inside EZPDA_Rombuilder.

Yes the complete loader.bin from ezflash.cn is V 1.25, but when i build my own loader with my own skin it is Version V 1.22. We need rombuildpro.rom in Version V 1.25 to create our own loader.bin.

Ok, my bad. I was reading the wrong thing.

Download EZManager 2.06. You will find rombuildpro.rom V1.25 in there. I've just verified it off my local copy. The newer versions of EZManager all contain an old version of rombuildpro.rom for some strange reason.

I noticed that RomBuildPro.rom isn't in the sysbin folder of any of the newer ez3manager software. I found this thread and version 1.25 of the file but the current is 1.28. As a curiosity I used ezpdabuilder to create EZPDA.gba. I looked at both RomBuildPro.rom and EZPDA.gba in a hex editor and the files are identical up to hex address 0001f7cb. Using this as a guide I believe you can extract RomBuildPro.rom version 1.28 from the file loader_GBA.bin in the ez3manager/sysbin folder. Open the file and trim everything after hex 000211d3. My new EZPDA.gba file reports version 1.28 and seems to run perfectly on my GBASP.

The current ez3manager loader_gba.bin is just over a megabyte. My newly created EZPDA.gba is 3.8 Mbyte. It seems like you have to remove appledict.dat from the ezpdabuilder .shell folder and any file with "word" in it's filename from .shell\bmp. I believe that removes every reference to the word program that teaches English for Chinese people. Now my EZPDA.gba is just under a megabyte.
