DSi Firmware 1.4U still a white screen.

3DS firmware 3.0.0-6E Also only a white screen, with 2 black strokes on the side because of the bigger screen.

I have the same problem of you, i updated today from 105 to 108 with the updater and not with the unbricker. The card doesn't work even with the DS Fat.

One of you could test the unbricker 2.0 to see if it fix this weird white screens issue ?

I helped someone today to recover from a white screens issue with the help of the unbricker 2.0.
I think i know why you get white screens. The firmware v108 is flashed properly on the EZ5i but the bootstrap/bootloader isn't, like if the update was cut before it was completly done.
BTW, using the unbricker 2.0 isn't something to do without read the readme.txt.
Read it completly to be sure you understand the 2 steps of the update.

It works, signZ on the irc helped someone to unbrick his EZ5i which had the white screen bug.

I reported the white screens problem to the team, they are investigating.

itself as a host card?

i'm not sure to understand you 路人甲.
The firmware v107 is the one embedded in the unbricker 1.01.
The firmware v106 ("a" mean that the homebrew firmware updater has been updated but not the content of the firmware) is the one released in august.

That said, could you tell me the current version of your firmware on your ez5i (check the system settings window) ?

I have a DSi (805) with a EZVi card with firmware 105 and kernel 3.0 OB7. I didn't upgrade to firmware 106 because it was unsafe. Is firmware 108a now safe to upgrade?
If I need to unbrick, do I need a DSLite or DS only?

You should have udpated the firmware of you EZ5i before update your 3DS.
Now there is nothing you can do apart find a DS/DSlite or a dsi in 1.4.3 or a 3DS in 2.0 so you can launch the v108 updater.

Ok, I got a DSi. However, it's in 1.3. Does it have to be in 1.4.3? It's my nieces, and I don't want to update it unless it's necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Also, Can I upgrade a my EZVi from its shipped version straight to v108a?
