the unbricker can revive the bricked EZvi due in before v106 firmware update or other issue. with a hotswap operation.

thanks to mbmax for the wonderful instruction of unbricker, and the help of Normmatt.

Any feeback about the unbricker is appreciated.

I'm still at firm 1.05 with 30 OB7.
So.. my question is :
Do i try to update to 1.06a first, or can i directly use the unbricker wich is also the 1.07 :?:

Or is there also a seperate 1.07 without unbricker for those with a still working card :?:

You can use the unbricker to update your healthy ez5i, just eject the ez5i and reinsert it when it's asked.
Don't forget, you will need a dslite or a ds.

And Eric, the firmware is called v107 not v1.07.

trying this with a supercard dstwo on a ds lite with the latest clean kernel but it gives me this error:

My card has hardware reversion 805 and I tried to update to the latest firmware from the last firmware that did anything useful except compatibility with later dsi or 3ds firmware versions.

Does the firmware version of the host card matter (currently 101)? It's unable to recognize/work with the bricked card, which I know may be unrecoverable based on the text file. I'd update the host card's firmware to be sure but that's what got me here in the first place

Eject the EZ5i and clean the golden traces,insert the EZ5i press Y again and again.

Against my better judgement I flashed the host card up to firmware 105, and I still get Bricked card firmware=FFFF on my bricked EZVi, no go.

@32BS, RavAlmasy and qlum : thanks for your feedback guys. It's not the end ! Maybe the unbricker need to be tweaked for some bricking case.

Host flashcards needed for the unbricker,huh? Might try running it on one olf my broken games to see what happens.
