I have bought a new EZ-Flash IV, but it does not work...
When I insert it into my GBA and power the GBA on, only the GAME BOY logo and a broken mark are displayed. The broken mark is at the place where the Nintendo logo should be. Any operations except for power-off result in no effect.
I have cleaned the contact both of cartridge and connector, but nothing gets better.
Of course, normal game cartridges work fine on the GBA.
Should I contact the seller? Or are there anything to do before it?
I guess something like menu is displayed even without a miniSD card. Is this wrong?
That still sounds like bad connection- certainly that is what I would tell another who had not already tried cleaning the contacts. Do make sure they are properly cleaned as some of the stuff used in PCB manufacture is a pain and if you can try another device- I do not want to rule out dodgy connections (in which case try the paper fix- stick a folded piece of paper behind the contacts to press them closer) without having mentioned it.
It should at least get far enough in to spit an error about no memory card as well.
I have additionally tried : (1) Cleaning the contact again using isopropyl alcohol. (2) Inserting pieces of paper between the cartridge and GBA. (3) Using another GBA(-SP).
All the attempts above failed.
I am doubting firmware is properly written into the device.
