I play the ezflash iv in GBASP. and I feel it drains the GBA battrey way too fast. is it true that the ezflash 4 cart drains way more power than normal cartridge?
if so, is there a firmware that solve that problem? i mean that make a better use of the battrey. I have the firmware with darth veider in background. is it the best and the latest firmware?
It is more often the case that you have a nice new toy and are seeing the difference compared to when it was more or less just sitting there. I should also say the SP is likely to be quite old now (Nintendo did stop making them a while back) so the battery may not be in the best condition any more either (if it sat on the shelf for a long time and was not charged that is not good, if it has seen a lot of charges that is not brilliant).
Star wars has been in background pretty much since the start (it appeared about 5 versions in and that was probably less than a month in). As for the firmware changing battery drain yeah I guess it could but none that presently exist will do it and any gains are not likely to be all that much.
The firmware stopped being updated a while before the client but everything should be in the changelog here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=793&start=0
After that though there was the hacked version from modulo that dodged a bug with launching GBA games in DS mode ( http://nocash.emubase.de/gbatek.htm#dsb ... blegbamode seen screen border a couple of paragraphs down from there) that appeared when EZ4 lite compact and lite deluxe support was first added. After that the only feature of note other than some EZ4 lite compact stuff was GBA-DS linkup added in and it never troubled GBA mode.
