This game run properly if you enabled special mode and set a speed according to your microsd speed.

And can you tell us a way to do it? I mean what is this special mode and how are we supposed to set a speed to a sd card.
I have a 4GB sandisk micro sdhc card.
Or just to give me an older post if you had answered it in the past.
Thank you very much!

Enabled special mode in rom settings window. Set a speed, for example 5.

If you don't have special mode in rom settings window, your ez5i need to be updated in firmware v101, so you can use the kernel 3.0ob2.

To tell you the truth I didn't even know that it existed something like the rom setting window in my card!
I set the speed mode to 5. The game played so that's it!
Thank you very much! Now I can enjoy the game! :D :D :D

Hi, I have EZVi with firmware v101 and kernel 3.0ob2 in a NDS Fat, and even with special mode activated (tried in all speed levels) doesn't work for me, I have a MicroSDHC 4GB Kingston.

(Sorry for my bad english)

GAME : 4951 - Jam with the Band (E)
PROBLEM : two black screens after creating save and 8MB save file. Perhaps a 16 or 32MB save is required (filled with 00 patern)
SOLUTION : use an EDGE cart save of this game

Confirmed Working

Interesting. Could you provide a blank save file created by the Edge flashcart ?

@KyubiNaruto & el_shanoa : tried a slow speed like 6 or 7 ? (1 is the fastest)

Your microsd is too slow then ? I can't belive it.
Could you try to backup it on your PC and full format it as explained in the quickstart guide in my signature.
copy back all data except the romdat folder.
Give another try.

Damn ! it's the worst microSD on the market.
I also got one like that and they are very very slow.
No way to run games in special mode with that.

You will have to wait for a kernel update now.

If you have NDSi latest firmware 1.4.1 then the special mode setting won't work for One Piece Gigant Battle.
People should stop blaming the Micro SD cards.
