Please report in this thread bugs found on HOMEBREWS.
EZ5i in firmware v101 + kernel 3.0OBX ONLY.

A report must have those informations :
HOMEBREW : The homebrew's name here and a link to download it.
HARDWARE: DS version (phat, lite, DSI, DSI XL?) and EZ5i hardware version (705 or 805). Is also important to post about the microSD you are using.
KERNEL: Which kernel version are you using.
FIRMWARE: v101
BUG RELATED: Information about the problematic homebrew you are using and detailed information on how reproduce the bug. Be precise so bugs can be reproduced easily.

Here is fake report provided as an example :

HOMEBREW : DS linux
HARDWARE: DSi + EZ5i 705 + Kingston taïwan 1GB micro SD
KERNEL: 3.0OB2
FIRMWARE : v101
BUG RELATED: white screens

- ScummVM DS : unable to start this homebrew. Black screens. (Thanks Mbmax)
- LoneWolfDS - Flight From The Dark v1.5 : black screens during setup and when starting over the game after the first time launch. (Thanks Marvelix)
- S8DS : Homebrew won't start, hangs on the first screen. (Thanks eadmaster)

Hi,

I posted this in another thread, but apparently it was the wrong place there (it was in the EZ Flash V forum when this is about the Vi). So I hope nobody minds if I post it here, too.

I have a problem with both the IPK image viewer and Moonshell. I have an EasyFlash 3in1 together with an EasyFlash Vi, but for some reason, these programs will not detect the 3in1's memory expansion. That is, on page 4 of the properties screen of Image Viewer, it says this:

forEZ5i
Type:Not detect memory
Size:0MBit (0MByte)

Standby...

Success.0 Error.0

I am stumped as to why it's saying this, as I've read in a few other places that the image viewer works BEST with the 3in1. Also, the memory expansion isn't broken, because some other homebrew like SNemulDS (a SNES emulator) actually find and use the RAM expansion.

If it matters, I'm running all of this on a regular DS Lite (so not a DSi). It runs the currently latest firmware of 3.0 OB1, but I had this problem before the firmware switch, too.

Oh, and the version of the IPK image viewer is the one that comes with Moonshell version 2.10. I think that's version 1.2, which strangely enough isn't available for download anywhere but with Moonshell itself.

KERNEL: 3.0ob2
BUG RELATED : unable to start this homebrew. It stops with an error saying the kernel doesn't support ARGV protocol.
I tried an old version of fandian, the r362 found on filetrip, and got white screens.
Tried to launch r362 from moonshell and it starts.

I've found a problem with following homebrew.

HARDWARE: DSi 1.4E + EZ5i 805 + Kingston 16GB micro SD
KERNEL: 3.0OB2
FIRMWARE : v101

msxDS doesn't work for me:

HOMEBREW : msxDS 0.86
HARDWARE: DSi + EZ5i 705 + Sandisk 8GB microSD
KERNEL: 3.0 OB3

BUG RELATED: Load but there are a graphical bug on startup in upper screen (Normally it's a black screen), and then crashes trying to load a ROM for me. This hombrew works for me with kernel 2.0.

EDIT: I was wrong! It works. I was using the incorrect bios files... I'm sorry

You could cross Super Smash Bros Rumble off the list. Works now but takes a while to load on the first try. People say that's how it is for all cards though so I wouldn't put that on myself.
