I'm able to run in speed 3 GTA on my samsung 4GB class6 + ez5 705 + DSi. On my DSi XL i have a random freezing bug when special mode is enabled.

You can't change brightness on DSi and DSi XL from kernel. This feature is only for dslite. Hold down the SELECT Button and press the Volume/Screen Brightness Control in either direction to change the screen brightness. Also work ingame.
Ok, so now i know why you can't run GTA in special mode. Because of your DSi XL and probably also because of your microSD slow speed. Which micosd do you have ? size, brand, class, made in ...

So I have the EZVi with Kernel 3.0 OB1 and I upgraded the firmware to v101 and I am having problems.
Now for some reason I am unable to change the screen brightness. I press the L button, no effect. I press the brightness button in the EZFlash menu, no effect.
I've scoured this thread and checked on GBAtemp but no one has reported anything, so maybe its isolated to just mine.
This did not happen in the last RC version, and my L button is working, I checked in other games.
Hardware Specs: Hardware Revision: H805 Firmware: 101 Nintendo DS Lite EZFlash Vi
Same problem with a DS Lite, cant change brightness. I have a H705 version and latest firmware. Reset back to EZVi from moonshell doesnt work anymore, upgraded to v2.10, still no luck. Is there allready a new reset.nds available for v3.0?

Small suggestion, instead of L+X or L+Y to delete/copy+paste things as introduced in RC16, Change controls to R+X and R+Y so it does not interfere with the left triggers function which is to toggle the brightness. I found it annoying every time I deleted something, I would have to readjust the lighting.

Hi guys, I have upgraded my NDSi XL with the new kernel (3.0) and firmware v101 and the result was quite disasterous. The system works but I get multiple frozen screens when try to select a game from the card menu and even I have losen some saved games that now are not recognized and I must begin from zero. All the upgrading process runned perfectly but the result is quite bad.

Weird report. I doubt your problem is tied to the update but to your microSD. Please check it on your PC in a dos command : chkdsk x: /f where x: is the letter of your microSD.

Do not forget to please ... I need the file "EZ5i.nds" to leave the moonshell.
Until now open GBA games without any problems .... I would say that even faster.
There is a possibility of implementing a "Softreset" for GBA games? It may activate cheats as in DS games? (And be able to choose easily).
Thanks.
Yeah, i know about moonshell 2.10 softreset, don't worry.
