That's almost as annoying as not giving enough details in your request.
What game are you using? In what manner was that game put on the SD card? Was there a pre-existing .sav in the saver directory? Do other games work properly? If your ez4_client is crashing then you aren't obviously using the client to flash games and you expect games to work how?
If the problem is exclusive to one game it's probably a Mario or Zelda game or any other game with a very long filename. The only good solution is to rename both ROM and .sav file to an 8.3 filename format such as mario3.gba, zelda.gba or shortnam.gba
If you cannot get the ez4_client to work you can use GBATA to save patch the ROM for use with the ez4 but you must create a blank .sav in the saver folder. I would just take the .sav file from VisualBoy Advance or another emulator and ensure the filenames match.
If you haven't been using the ez4_client and you have been playing games that you think are saving properly then you'll without a doubt have to format your sd card to fix the corrupted save files that were written by the ez4 during save time.
