it only contains the new file diffrent with the 1.85a package.

3in1 new function
1. multi rom write
change the 3in1 mode in system setting between multi and single. GBA/NDS linker only works with single mode.
press A on any gba rom file in multi mode, the 3in1 option window will popup in lower screen.
press A on gba file again to write the file in order.
all command after gba name need double click.
rom write limited depend on the 3in1 nor flash size or 4Mbit sram saver size.

2. clean rom support
just copy the clean gba rom to microsd, it will be patched after write. no need 3in1 tools convert.

3. cht support
put the GBA cht file into CHT folder, filename same as the gba file name. cheat only works under EZ5. not standalone mode.

4. standalone mode
leave the 3in1 in DS also get the multiboot menu, but no cheat work.

the psram direct load involved with complex saver backup and load, maybe delay to next version(single mode only) or cancel.

Skineditor usage:
1. open the background
2. enable the element you want to display , non enabled elements will not displayed.
3. choose the icon bmp, bmp1=normal display(optional),bmp2=clicked display(must have)
4. you can change the text color
5. drag the elements to the postion you want
6. save the ini to your skin folder.

skineditor needs microsoft .net frameworks 2.0 to run.

The EZSkin.ini is a good idea !

Please we need a support of "read only" files to don't delete important files.

I don't like the management of GBA ROM. It slow and not useful.

Awesome ! Can't wait to beta test all of that !! 8)

Thanks windirt !

I like the EZSkin.ini file idea too. Let see what we have here ...

Edit : Just tested NOR single GBA rom mode. I'm not sure it's a good idea to patch the game in NOR. Instead, It could be more faster to do that on the microSD no ?
This way is acceptable with the PSRAM but not NOR i think ...
It takes years to patch PKM E at the end of the flash. :?

Edit2 : save deleted after a re-boot. something special to do with this game (Flash v103 - 1024kbit) ?
Save corrupted in SMA 4 (Flash v102 - 1024kbit). I think there is something to dig here. Perhaps a bug ?
No problem with GR (Sram v102 - 256 kbit)

Edit 3 : 3in1 write button on touch screen is fixed now. cool. 8)

Edit 4 : NOR Multi-rom GBA mode. I like the way the team made this, but some touch buttons must be added to language ini file to be translated. Patch routine in NOR is too slow. Definitively it must be done once on the microSD. Just patch multi-saver in NOR.
The 3in1 gba loader look nice (v1.00B). 8) but freeze with some dark graphics blocks at the bottom of the screen. :?

Edit 5 : Wow ! the skin editor is really cool. It let us the choice to organize the touch screen the way we wants. Thanks windirt !
I've found a bug. :P
When i want to place the _down.bmp of the light, x automatically turn into 0 value. I can't put the icon on coordinate 1 or 2 or 3.
Also if it's possible to have in real time the coordinate x and y when i slide a icon to his new position ?

Edit 6 : You are in single rom mode and switch to multi-rom, before the 3in1 ROM option window appear, current save is not written on the microSD. Perhaps it's done in silence mode ? no window appear to say "backuping save". It is lost ?
Same thing when i switch from multi-rom to single mode. Multi-Saves must be written on microSD. People will not use BkUp button and they will lost their saves.

Though it's complex or such, Rudolph's GBAExploader did it.
I hope it's not going to be cancelled.

I found a bug.

When Game name has more than one line, that is two lines, it is normal to to display "Company Name" at the second line, but it stays as EZ5skin.ini signed it.

So my logic goes like followings:
if(game_name.has(1_line)) {
company_nameY = company_nameY - (font.HEIGHT);
}

Like that.

My friends and I lack a 3 in 1 but I will be sure to play with the skinning tool (hopefully I have a working form of .net installed on this machine).

This is really nice, gives you a lot more freedom for skins.

I have a request, would it be possible to add a feature to open a EZskin.ini from the editor? It's a bit annoying when you close the editor and then if you want to make further corrections you either have to edit the text file or start over.

Edit: I think I found a bug, when I tried to put the clock in the lower right corner, it got messed up. It wasn't erasing it's previous values with every second, just stacking up the graphics with each second. It was fixed by moving it but I'm not sure if there are other areas that would make it act like that.

Edit 2: Another request, how about adding another button to launch the 3in1 window so we don't have go to where the gba files are? That would be useful if we're going to play the files already written on the NOR.

Where do I put these files? I tried putting them in the moonshl directory like they are in the zip file but I still don't have any of the extra functionality.

I can't get the 3 in 1 to work in standalone mode, all I get is the GBA Logo and then a black screen.

Also, Yoshi's Island gives me a corrupt save message.

Wow the skin editor is AMAZING, I will be trying the multiload thing in a few minutes. :)

EDIT: I agree, patching NOR is amazingly slow and patching it everytime really sucks, but then if you patch MicroSD for multirom, don't delete the gba files. Also, are the CHT files for the EZ Flash 2 compatible with this?

Skineditor usage:

good ... auto patching seems to work.

I wrote castlevania, f-zero and iridium in multi rom mode to NOR, and started it directly.
castlevania and f-zero crash, iridium works. (standalone)

Multi rom is a nice gimmick ... but it is much more useless than psram mode.

so I'm glad that you implemented a completely new unseen feature (pogoshell like gba loading), but most people will want to use psram autpatched gba games instead of NOR.

Also the mode reset itself from multi to single!

Where to get english GBA cheats??

PLEASE do implement PSRAM mode ... multirom is not needed, but loading clean roms into psram is ESSENTIAL.

Also regarding the skin editor:
why release such a tool sooo shortly before the new non moonshell based menu will be released??
Or will the new menu be able to use the old skins??
I am at the moment not able to import the skin.ini into the editor. how do I do that??

you all think the patch speed is slow in NOR flash. but same speed in psram or other wise.

because we have to scan the whole rom to find the patch point. the flash 1MB saver type needs more time to patch. in my option, the optimized speed is very acceptable. through you had not seen the patch speed in test period. indeed, the ds is not the PC, it can't do the patch thing slightly. due to there is no big buffer and Giga HZ CPU for us.

so Please don't blame the patch speed.

or we have to leave you to use the 3in1 tools.. it fast. really.

in multi mode, there is several game's saver in the sram, when you launched a psram load, where can I save the psram loaded game save? erase other game's save?

in single mode,I can easily backup the exist saver and replace the psram loaded game's saver or put the savar to the back segment of sram. I think gbaexploder do so.

every time I heared the user ask us to add funtions. we try to do our best to fulfill the will.

for example, this time, we are asked to patch the gba game on the console, we did it. but someone jump out and told us the function is useless.

the funciton is slow than other software. for gods sake, the other software just do the sram patch, it is fast, we already do same fast in sram patch, but the other software can't do eeprom /flash patch on the console. even it can do, the speed can't fast.

back to multi rom mode, I remembered this function was asked at the release time of 3in1 card. now it useless too.

now I know what's you need.

1. 3in1 tools on PC, it fast and easy to use.
2. single mode is enough.
3. we will add the psram load.
4. cheat will reamain.

please accept the modify above in next open beta release.
