So I got my EZIII 2gig kit a few weeks ago through jandaman.com and I love it. There are literally dozens of GBA games that I am looking forward to playing, not to mention that PocketNES and Goomba are both sick in their own right. Installing the drivers was unnecessarily confusing, but after a couple of hours of research and experimentation coupled by the help of this site I got it working. EZManage 2.08 is the version to use for the GBA, for sure.

I've taught myself a good amount in the last few weeks, but I still have a couple of questions, mostly related to video. I'm pretty sure the only video conversion software for the GBA is Meteo, which is fine because it works well enough. However, I've read some threads claiming that it "corrupts" headers. Now for some noob questions: What exactly is a corrupted header and what implications will it have to the flash card and it's usage? Would it cause any problems?

I use the 32Mbit flash rom area to watch videos, which limits how much video can be stored. You can safely put 16Mbits of video (or rom file) on the NAND side and have it play just as any other rom would, correct? But if it's bigger than that, it has to write to the flash part and will erase anything on the 32mbit side. I think I have that straight.

If anyone has any information on this it would be appreciated. Once again "hello" to all of you!

Meteo is about the only thing available for the GBA, it is not bad but compared to some of the DS stuff it does not even rate.

Corrupt header:
not so bad if you do soft reset to load but hard reset (which is default these days and probably better to do) will cause the writing at the bottom of the screen to be corrupt and the rom to simply not work.
Tool to fix them (amongst other things, if you are going to be running GBA then I suggest you have it at your disposal):

As for the other part correct although you are confusing Mbit and Mbyte:
MBit is an older sizing method and is MBytes/8
The EZ3 has a 256Mbit (32Mbyte) section aka the NOR section
and a 128Mbit (16Mbyte) Ram section called the PSRAM

Yeah, I always got the Mbits and Mbytes mixed up, my bad. I tried that program and it fixed my meteo-made bad headers, thanks! I got my GBA SP a few years ago but never played it much, aside from Minish Cap (I love everything Zelda) and a few other games. Right now I'm playing through Golden Sun, which is great. I'm not sure what it is, but I like the GBA more than the DS. I'm sure most would disagree with me on that, but that's OK.

Thanks for the response.
