did you try to contact the author ? As he has the source file, it will be much easier to make a remake...

yes.

Anyway, with the screen shots it *could* be possible for me to do a remake, but it would be much better to ask the permission to the author, as the drawing is a original art.

Porting both Toad and Gritty are actually on my todo list - just needed a break after Midnight and have to find some time to fit it in.
