That happens every now and then. It's probably a temporary DB glitch.

i got the first EZIV lite for my little bro, he got moonshell and ran a ds game from it, i am getting the "ds option pak inserted" at the normal ds screen, my EZIV Deluxe works fine though, I am hoping your pass program can help me, i am in the same boat as scrawl i believe.

mannyd: probably no help for it here. I had hope, but we weren't able to restore scrawl's deluxe (which I can write to) to any sort of a working state so...

Just an update as well, I did email EZ a while ago to see if they'd off anything to help get this working on the compact/miniSD... still no reply (as expected). Not even a "thanks for your interest but please go away" type thing. My next go would be to hack the addresses in the updater and provide that instead (if it works for me it would also work for at least the miniSD).

I WAS ABLE TO DUMP THE EZ4 COMPACT BOOTSTRAP! It turns out that the FAT is fully functional, just only works with certain micro sd cards, and you guessed it, the SD-CO1G cards. I retried cory's bootstrap dump tool and it created the 256 kb file! i will email it to you right away

Just a little question: does this have any kind of utility for a non flashed DS?

Not really, unless you want to replace the entire bootstrap/OS with something else.

Yeah, run it again and it will swap the gamecode back to "PASS"... IIRC it mentions this in the instructions :lol:

BTW: don't run it too often, I have no idea what the impact of consistent use of it can do as I do not know the longevity of the NOR in the menu area (meaning, how many times it was designed to be reflashed... the part I am changing is never changed by the updater core as... it is part of the updater core, so if it is lost the cart may become unusable).

OK, I have a weird problem and I think it has to do with the internal bootstrap on my EZ4LDX. All the hardware is working - I can use the FAT, PSRAM, and NOR through homebrew programs if loaded by another device (EZ-V). I can even boot from the FAT of the EZ4 through homebrew loaders.

When booting to GBA mode it white screens. When booting to NDS mode it loads but gives a FAT_ERR and I only have access to NOR which works and saves fine. I ran the PatchPASSEZ4.nds from the EZ5 and it works so I know I can flash the chip. Is there a way for me to restore the whole chip instead of doing a quick patch with your app?
