Edit by FAST6191 this thread was getting outdated, props to Sosuke for the intial version.

The following is a cut down version of the wiki article: http://www.sosuke.com/ezflash/wiki/inde ... aded_skins

There are two types of downloads you might get, one is loader.bin (fairly rare) and the other is an archive with the graphic resources to make the skin (if you should make a skin the images all zipped is prefered as the loader does get updated).

First download the EZPDA rombuilder zip ( http://www.sosuke.com/ezflash/viewtopic.php?t=14 ) and extract it, then replace the rombuildpro.rom with the one you will find in the sysbin subdirectory of EZManager, you are then good to go.

In order to use the graphic resource downloads:
Code:
Extract your downloaded skin to the Res\.shell\bmp folder of EZPDA ROM Builder download
Run EZPDABuilder.exe set an output directory and a press Build
Rename the newly created EZPDA.GBA to loader_GBA.bin (use loader.bin for EZManager 2.08 and below
Follow loader_GBA.bin steps as listed below

In order to use loader_GBA.bin downloads:

Code:
Download or Copy the loader_GBA.bin to your EZ3 Manager Sysbin folder
Start EZ3 Manager
Make sure your EZ3 Flash cart is plugged in and initialized
Click on System Config on the top menu
Click on Write EZ3 Loader

Is it possible to write more than 1 skin pack? What I mean is there an option to choose multiple skin packs from the loader?

Is it possible to use the rombuilder to modify the main menu of the EZPDA loader ?

I was thinking about removing some of the less relevant options to me ?

I would also be able to add roms to be launched directly from the "desktop" rather than going to the file manager first.

I have been throughout this site and the international site and am at a loss on how I am supposed to re-skin my Ez Flash III.

sosuke wites:
Extract your downloaded skin to the Res\.shell\bmp folder of EZROM Builder
Run build.bat
Rename the newly created EZPDA.GBA to loader.bin
Follow loader.bin steps as listed below

I am then told to go here: http://www.sosuke.com/ezflash/viewtopic.php?t=14
where I proceed to download and extract the follwing file "RomBuildPro.rom", and no batch file.

Am I supposed to run the .rom file from the EZPDA? WINDOWS?

Any help would be appreciated. :?

shouldn't the current version for the loader bin be 1.25 now? I used my backed up loader file from the ez3 manager sysbin folder to make the skins, but you might want to update the version you have for download, too.

Will I lose all my roms and stuff if I write the new loader? If I will then have to go back up everything 1st then send it back over after. Also, how do I put saves for games back on the card? I had a site or maybe was a post telling how to do it but now that I just got my EZFlash Cart I cannot for the life of me find where it went to. Was something bout writing the games 1st if remember right. Thanks
