Try running reset.nds from standalone moonshell, that is more similar to the method I would use to load it anyway and what I'd figure it was originally intended for (unless it is mixed up somehow into your files, I remember a reset.nds for the SCSD type carts)

using moonshell gives white screens =[
even testsd.nds do not start .. ( using DSorganize testsd runs, but reset.nds do not work =/ )

Then it is most likely reset.mse from the original moonshell package renamed to reset.nds
Seems to have a 1792byte ds.gba loader prepended... very odd file indeed. Even has a portion of the full original template in it. I don't suppose you have a GBA slot supercard inserted when you test reset.nds (though it is most likely for GBA slot supercards anyway).
if you run the supercard boot file msforsc.nds ( in root ) via homebrew, does it work as softreseft?
its works when I exec it via DSorganizer ( Mightmax method ) its returns to the supercard menu!
Edit:
i´ve mad a little test
1st - I´ve executec super princess peach ( patched )
2nd - then softreseted to main menu and executed DSorganizer..
3rd - then via dsorganized excuted the file msforsc.nds ( on the root ) to back to supercard menu
4th - executed Elite Beat Agents.. and the rumble was still working !!!
i guess its a simple way to make a homebrew softreset, just booting this file, i guess this solution may work with others cards!

Other cards, like R4, have their main file crypted...
Give this a try and let me know if it works (please ), if so then we have a simple working reset core for SC based on DSO's stub. You will need to make a copy of your working exec stub from DSO in the root of your card for it to find it (should be named "exec_stub.bin").

That was precisely what I got on R4 with the sc menu... well, it was worth the shot at any rate, I probably missed something silly (like A7 stuff perhaps?) that would take me much more digging through DSO source than I have time for this second.
Thanks chuckstudios, doesn't really change the fact that the .dat is still crypted and not simply loadable like SC's moonshell should be.

even if you try to use another card.. it should at least show a blue loading screen!

Not if the blue loading screen isn't a part of the stub... I did miss the arm7 stuff though, just a sec and I'll do another test
edit:/ here we go
scds1_3in1rum_1.zip Hopefully this time it is sorted. 2 versions, if you have DSO present with a pre-patched exec stub in it's normal place, there is no need to duplicate it into the root directory. Should enable rumble, then go back to SCDS1 menu (partially boots SCDS moonshell on R4, though decrypted R4 menu crashes once loaded).

No, thank you for finding the simple reload method and testing the homebrew - it is not something I could do without the card
Give this a go, if you don't see the options press the dpad like it says (though if it goes past that on it's own the problems are far deeper and totally the fault of scds1 kernel). This one checks for the stub to be in DSO's dir, if it doesn't exist there, then looks to root, if it doesn't exist there it says it couldn't find it. Should also add in browser support (and corrects menu button correlation, though again I may have put them backwards from low to high instead of high to low or something), I have no real way of testing the browser support since this reset method does not work with EZ5 or R4 either.

to the programmers: if you can somewhat base the patcher from rudolph's 3in1 proggy for rumble, then it's easier to make a patcher somehow... i think...
