I just ordered my EZF-III 2GB cart. 4 days after I bought my g6 1g Flash cart. Anyways I want to get started on skinning for it.

Here is a sample screen of it so far. Let me know your thoughts.

PS: I was looking for good nintendo icons so I could do a real GBA GUI. If anyones comes accross any, let me know. I saw these at http://mindfad.com/main/?p=11 but the archive is for mac. Maybe a mac user can help me out.

Nice start, the skins forum has not been that active of late so it is good to see some skins starting to appear.
I might even have to start making some more skins but I am kind out out of things/cartoons to base my skins on right now, I have just started watching final fantasy unlimited and if I can find a copy of disc 2 (amazon does not seem to have it) that shall come about soon.
That is unless I try and make a skin based around Perfect Blue or Black Jack.

Anyhow always good to see more skins, espcially nice ones like this stick with it.

I had a quick look at the site. Darn Mac users. A DMG is a Disk iMaGe, some crazy Mac formatted CD ISO.

Here's the good news. Have a google around for DMG2ISO and you will find a command line app that converts the dmg to oddly enough a standard iso image. You can then extract the files from the iso by mounting it with whatever tool takes your fancy or running it through iso buster. Infact, I think the new iso buster opens dmg images directly....

Nice, I like it. Now you've got me craving some new skins; I may have to start making some more. I'll definitely keep an eye on this one though.

yeah skinning fun, but a keen eye is needed for near perfection. And unfortunately theat keen eye is on over drive for me. If I find just a few flaws of a skin I wont use it. Some bad mental disease. I dont know.

I did try that dmg2iso. Google was my first try, i just couldnt pass those icons up. I did successfully run the command to convert it with dmg2iso. But at the very end if the process I got some error on final convert. The DMG may be different than most. At least thats what I read. I will try the new iso buster. Thanx for the heads up.

Anyways I have most done now. I was inspired the XP Blue skin fallenacorn did. And got me hooked on the window illusion so thats what I will be doing.

Mind I am using the XP window from fallenacorn 's skin for the time being.

Feel free to email the files/skin to my email address. It's listed down there somewhere. I can then host the files/images on the site here for you. That way you won't have hassles using others icons.

Personally I don't think anyone will. No one is asking for payment for the skin, and it's not like there are millions of users. So I don't think it's going to be an issue.

Ok Thanx. You are very right on that thought. But I dont want to risk it. My site is hosted off my friends server so I have to be considerate.

Those Nintendo Icons, are in .dmg.
I extract to .iso, and then it says that there are NO files or images in the .iso
How come it says that, and is there a different way to getting these nintendo icons?

From what I read these image files can be compressed (which most are) and that will corrupt the iso. This program can convert them properly. Then get IsoBuster or WinRAR if you don't already have them.

I already tried that app. It doesnt seem to work as would with other files.

I found a program that shows the files in the image but the only problem is that when you extract them they come out empty. This is due to Macs having a file system that uses different forks. It is a big headache! So unfortunately w/o someone with a Mac converting them there is no way to get around it. If someone has an OSX Mac then they can use icons2ico to convert them to the Windows format.
