Assuming you use EZ4 Client this is what you do:
open the romlistds.txt in the sysbin directory
On evry line there will be some text as
Code:
"rom number";"rom English name";"Rom Chinese name";"Rom size";"Rom save type";"Region";"rom CRC32";;;"working status as a colour";
e.g.
Code:
"110";"Lost in Blue";"迷失蔚蓝";"512Mb";"Eeprom 64Kb";"USA";"4BEF9202";;;"cyan";
For the most part this data is not used but you have to keep it along with all the punctuation:
The number can realistically be anything (killerbong has a bunch of XXXX ones for the demo and trainered roms and i(number) for ique roms).
Both names can also be anything (most people repeat the Roman alphabet using name twice).
Rom size is in megabit (multiply bytes by 8 and current range from 64 to 1024),
Save type will be found on sites (it is not obtainable from the header) but is not that important
Region is a no brainer (usually Japan, Europe or USA but Australia, South Korea, some specific European countries and China do have some listings,
CRC32 is a standard one and can be grabbed from loads of places including but not limited to hex editors, archive readers, header tools and crc/sfv makers.
Colour does not matter as far as the app is concerned but cyan is working, orange is has problems, and red is not working (if in doubt most just put cyan).
One thing to note: make sure you press enter at the end of the rom list
Some tools/sites to aid you in your quest:
NDSTS (an alternative to your current header viewer made by coolhj of GBATA fame): http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/tools.htm Site also has some DS rom info
ADVANsCEne, frequently updated releases and all the info you will need for updating. GBA, PSP and of course DS releases covered:
http://www.advanscene.com/ Advance-Power.de (similar to ADVANsCEne but in my opinion a less likeable site design)
http://www.advance-power.de/news.php
What can I say? Thanks for the quick reply and the extensive info. Hopefully I can contribute constructively to this thread and forum but I doubt I will beat some of the others to updating the romlist
