How are you trying to access the internet?

Through a nintendo USB stick? (in which I have no experience with, but the DS has an option to connect to one iirc)

Or through a normal Wifi Network? Doing it this way can sometimes be easy, and sometimes a pain in the ass if you don't know too much about configuring IP addresses.

Most of the time you just need to know the SSID (wifi network name) and the WEP password if it uses WEP. And if that fails you have to configure the connection settings manually (which should work on any wifi router/access point even if not on the supported list on nintendo's website).

I can't be bothered to list the steps on setting it up manually here at the mo, but if you're still having problems then add me to msn or pm me on here and I will try guide your through it. ^_^

Ahh well with a public access wifi you'd just need to know the SSID, which the DS can search for. ^_^ Other than that there isn't much you can do in that situation.
