Classic Cheat Code Game Patcher (CCCGP for short) is a program that takes Game Genie (GG) or Pro Action Replay/RAW (PAR) codes that you have copied from a website, etc. and automatically parses them for you so you (don't have to enter in one code at a time like other programs like you to do) which produces a list of available cheats for you. You can then select the cheats you want to apply to a game permanently and patch them directly into the game. You can then play your favorite games in ANY emulator (or if you're lucky enough to have the necessary equipment..the real consoles) with cheats! Note that you CAN'T turn the effects of the cheats off so I don't recommend using codes that require you to switch them off to continue.

Not sure if there that many people out there that still enjoy cheating for classic consoles but I hope there are at least a few!

There was never a Game Genie for GBA or DS, Game Genie was strictly NES and the original GameBoy. The Game Shark was for GBC and GB (and obviously, PS1 and some other consoles), and then Action Replay, Codebreaker and some other stuff busted out after that.

The GBA AR1-3 (and GS1-2) actually does have the ability to patch the ROM on the fly but I think the codes for these are VERY few and far between so it probably wouldn't even be worth my time to figure out how to get the addresses resolved for them.

Gamegenie codes alter the rom the console sees while gameshark alter memory/register values with the former being very rare in modern consoles, I sense you want something like gabsharky:

NES and Gameboy/Game Gear patch routines were changed to patch every 8192 bytes (instead of 16,384). This seems to let all *good* codes be patched into the games correctly. Please notify me if there are codes you use that work in an emulator or on real hardware but don't with CCCGP so I can test them.

When I select SNES (PAR) I get an error...

That's pretty vague. What error and what codes are you using?

More than likely it is because the PAR codes you are using are for RAM writes. Game Genie codes and some PAR codes are ROM writes that just replace bytes in the ROM on the fly -- which can be hardcoded into the ROM with a hex editor or CCCGP. RAM writes cannot because there is no code added onto the original game to handle writing the values to RAM.

Okay, I have a problem. I can patch the games fine and all, but when I play it on my DS using nesDS emulator, the codes just don't work. However when played on the PC with FCE emulator, it does work. I just don't know what's wrong.

Any help?

Oh yeah it also keeps saying something went wrong with patching except it doesn't tell me WHAT went wrong..... Not helping.....
