I am currently trying to get the mod shop to work on my version of pokemon emerald. I put the code into VBA (and the mod shop works), and then I save the clt file, use Cheat2Cheat and tag the .cht file onto the rom and put it into the card.

But, when I try and activate the shop during the game (L+A+Select) it doesnt so anything, just coming up with the regular dialogue when you attempt to activate and item inside (I have my bike tagged to select). I have tried it without the bike assigned but it is still the same problem.

have you tried these on VBA? did the values switch when you converted the cheat file?

I plain on attepting to cheat with firered (shinys, catch whatever pokemon) and tennispower (win every mini game)

so how do I do so without such a hassle? hasn't the EZ team provied a more effent way for us to cheat?

I've also yet to get ANY cheats to work on VBA. what the hell am I doing wrong? I got the "must be on" codes so why isn't it working?

I put the gameshark/codebreaker/action replay codes on vba, then saved the .clt file, and then using cheat2cheat converted it to the .cht file, and that is what is displayed above. I just gave up on trying to get it to work on my cart, I just cheat for whatever i need on my VBA and then transfer the .sav to my gba

if you check the organal cheat2cheat topic, he mentions that you should make sure the values are the same on the cht file as they were on the clt file (god damn... couldn't they just have made an eaiser suuport?) if not, then you should reconvert and change them using notepad I think it was...


I'm not sure, I havn't even REACHED that step yet- unlike yourself, I've yet to get ANY cheats working even for VBA. I'm just passing along info I read before

it is released on the net. I didnt write it. it is a pokemon maker that has an included generator for item codes here are some examples:
