I loaded some dumped roms from my original games (Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby) but was having trouble with the 64k *.sav files EZClient 3.25 (Driver 1.54, patch DLL 1.220) was producing.
I thought I could copy the *.sav files over to NAND and it would start using them.
Instead I get the "corrupted save" mentioned in other posts. Which leaves me to believe the save is stored in the *.gba file instead. Especially if I use the L+R the files are 128 Kb instead of the 64Kb for the EZClient ones.
So I ran EZClean to start a fresh.
Using my Ezflash III 2Gb cart and EZManager 2.20 (Driver 1.54) I formatted the ROM and formatted the NAND.
With just the EZLoader software on the cart I am able to use L+R to save out a pokemon save file, even though I have cleaned the cart, formatted and NOT loaded a game.
I haven't had any luck finding answers in the forum list. Anyone know what I should be doing?
I dumped another GBA game and loaded that onto the cart too.
After playing that game to get a save, I was able to select the pokemon game which used the correct save instead of the leftover junk in the cart ROM.
