I would like to know how to redump DS roms. The one I had in mind was Super Mario 64 DS, which currently freezes after collecting the first star. Can someone please tell me how to redump the game with the .ips file please?

The GBAMP can dump games as well.

I currently have 50 stars on file 1, 13 on 3, and 2 on save file 3. I am using an EZ flash III with ezmanager 2.20 with nds loader 1.04. I just put the clean .nds dump onto the NAND. Why are people having trouble?

Also, what is "redumping"?

Redumping, whilst not the correct word, it just copying the rom again from the original cart. Early on some of the game dumps were done incorrectly and had to be dumped again.

You should be able to find patches for the game dumps that fix any issues.

Hang on, am I getting terminology a bit confused here? What I want to do is apply the patch to Super Mario 64 to stop it freezing up after collecting the first star. Or be pointed in the general direction of a fixed version of the rom. Surely you can't only patch DS roms only with a M3 and those other ones (if that is not the case, my bad, becasue I shouldn't have tried to use the words I know little about!) Oh, and I also have the .ips file which I believe I need. All I need to know is how to apply the patch to the rom. Or is this not possible?

Ahh, there's a difference between "redump" (the action of dumping the game again) and "redump patch" (a patch to make a bad dump, good again). I use GBATA for my IPS needs.

So I should use GBATA, then. I'll do that. But isn't that just for gba roms?

Yes, but it has a nice clean IPS patcher in it.

Ugh, 4AM... I need sleep...

4AM? Idiot. That's completely ridiculous. I'd never do a thing like that. Well, not till 4AM, anyway. (over here, it's 9:30AM) And thanks so much for the help!

Ooh. Sorry. Well, I only do the same thing. I'm also an idiot, if that helps, and a hypocrite. All my friends think I'm a loser. Everybody hates me. I slit my wrists for fun. So give a poor, defenseless loner a chance, would you? I will then be eternally grateful.
