Hi !
Just for the information, I have already tried all the different installation solutions from this boards and others.
So, here is my problem: I am unable to install the EZ-Writer 2. When I connect the device, windows automatically install it as an unknown device (in the USB controller section), without asking me for anything.
So I tried to reinstall the driver myself, by clicking right on this unknown device in the windows device manager, and by directing it to the right driver from EZ-Manager or EZ-Client (I have tried with all the versions I could find), but Windows keep telling me that it can't find any information for my device in the .inf...
What can I do know ?
Thanks.

Copy the .sys and .bin files to c:\windows\system32\drivers and the .inf files to c:\windows\inf. Remove the usb device in the device manager and have it search for new hardware. If it still shows up an unknown usb device then it might be that your usb ports aren't installed right (if they got a ! on them) or the writer might not be getting enough power and can tell something is there but can't ID it. If they usb ports aren't installed right then reinstall the drivers for them. Otherwise try another usb port (not on a hub because there's not enough power).

Thanks a lot for your answer.
Unfortunatly I have already tried all of your suggestions, and none of them work.
I really don't know what to do...

I would suggest trying in a different PC but before that I would try removing all traces of it from device manager (remember to click view show hidden devices as well) and then reinstalling it as Cracker said, stay away from EZClient drivers though as they will be of little use for your EZ3.

Have you tried changing the USB cable ?

And ensure you're not using a USB hub, powered or not, those things are notorious for causing the EZ3 carts to not work properly.

It's all the same, with another cable, and on any of my usb ports (not on a hub).

Did you ever get this working? I am in the same situation, and none of the answers I have found are working.
