My computer won't recognize the EZ Flash III device so I can't see it or load games to it or anything. Is there a driver I need or something?

Yeah there are drivers that should come with the EZManager (they should be in the USB_Drivers folder) although you will need windows 2000 or 32bit XP to run them (maybe server editions of the same line) but people have had luck with virtual machines if you are stuck with a newer OS- http://gbatemp.net/t275407-using-virtua ... flashcarts

Also if it is a newer EZ3 you will also need to set EZMode to the newer version, if it is greyed out then ignore it.

Ok thanks. I don't have the original chord so maybe that is part of the problem. Also I'm not sure what to do with the drivers but I'll give it a try.

its been a while

you should just need to plug it in and Windows will install your drivers

if not
(make sure its plugged in with light on)
go to your ez3manager folder
go to USB_Drivers folder
find the file "ezwriter.inf"
right-click and click "Install"

and good luck!!

I got a new printer to USB chord because I thought maybe it was the chord that was the issue but it still doesn't work. Also I have EZ Flash 4 now and I really wanna get these working. I'm on a windows xp and the light on the ez flash box won't even turn on.

If the USB cable is good (does it work with another device?) and the light does not turn on chances are you have a dodgy linker (even without drivers or anything else it should have turned on) or far less likely a dodgy LED. Also worth checking it on a USB wall charger- some computers (especially of the XP vintage) do actually follow the USB spec and withhold power until the device is identified.

I have seen the odd dead linker although it is rare but have not seen any pulled apart to see if there are any common faults. I mean I guess you could check the contacts on the USB port but they are pretty solid.

Alas if it is dead there is probably not much you can do, you might well be able to sell the device though.
