Hello all. I have not attempted to play commercial/homebrew DS games yet, but I would certainly like to know if what I have read and plan on doing is correct.
I have: a version 1 Nintendo DS (I purchased it at launch) and a 1Gb EZ-Flash 2. I am also using the latest EZ Client 3.25 (Driver Version: 1.530, PatchDLL Version: 1.220). I am going to purchase a PassMe1 from: dspassme.com
From what I understand, I should have all the tools necessary to run commercial/homebrew DS games--right? Is there anything that I should know before purchasing the PassMe1?
So all I have to do is purchase the PassMe, use EZClient to use the NDS Loader, then after burning the ROMS--hook the NDS game in the PassMe, put the flash cart in, and fire it up? Sounds too easy.
there's an extra step if you have a post september 2005 DS, but nope you've described the entire process for the older versions. I have the same basic setup you do except that I have and ez3 and I went with the ez team's ez pass instead of a passme - according to a forum post on the official forums they intend to make non ezpass devices incompatible in the future but I haven't heard any evidence of that being the case yet, so you should be fine, especially with an ez2 which may not be susceptible to that at all.
