Wondering if I can install EZ-Flash I 256 cart onto Windows 7. I am having a tough time finding drivers to support this old cart. Can anyone help me find the drivers? thankyou!
!UPDATE! I have since tried using a virtual machine for WinXP and with some success I am able to install the drivers. The light will turn green. However, when loader the EZClient software every option is greyed out. It appears that the cart and writer are not being recognized. This is strange considering the drivers installed fine and the light turned from RED to GREEN. Anyone care to share their thoughts? I'm a little stumped now more than ever.
Virtual machines are a tricky one when it comes to custom USB hardware (, if you are heading down this path perhaps bartpe windows or one of the other liveCD methods (Hirens boot CD or something). Similarly if you can kick over a gig or two then you could always dual boot.
Red to green means it is recognised and that is usually the end of the story as far as the end user sees- beyond that you have all the other communication protocols which might well trouble the virtual machine. Still the old standbys of a real GBA cart (can you dump it/saves from it) and cleaning the contacts are worth a go.
Also you said EZ1 so it almost certainly will not be unless you replaced the linker but have a go with EZmode (same directory as EZclient)- if that is greyed out just close it but if not choose the ez1/2 option.
