I've updated the On-Cart Help-File so it is easier readable and contains the up-to date information,
second of all, this file is english only so you don't have to scroll trough all of the chinese...
additional this file is made to be read on cart so it is only 37 characters width.

this file may be used freely in all skins etc.

Download here (Right-Click -> Save As...)(4.546 bytes)

how to use this file
Place this file directly in the Res\.shell folder (with the filename help.txt) of EZPDA RomBuilder
(can be found here: http://www.sosuke.com/ezflash/viewtopic.php?t=14 )

---list of changes---

v1.1 (14-july)

Hey nice work, I edited the help file aswell on my Initial D skin, but this is pretty good too, althought I think you should have taken out the Engrish grammar like:

"It also support EZFlash original
goldenfinger process, which let you
pass the ROM quickly. "

I mean.... what in the world is that?

and:

"There are some problems in using EZ3,
so here is the tips:"

Just some little things like that, that would be easier to understand in a more natural english grammar. Also, I never knew the max width was 37 characters, good info right there.

just post your suggested changes here and i'll look into it.
since i'm only dutch and not english grammar can be difficult sometimes

btw: actually it's 38 characters but you'll need to count the return as one character so that makes 37

Google had it cached (this is grabbed from the source of the page as the cached page was missing the 0A0D windows likes), some of it is slightly outdated but it should still be good.:
EZPDA Help System (English version)
EZPDA Compatible (max.37 chars width)
Version 1.1.01 made by alexanderpas
=====================================
EZPDS is like a small OS in a GBA.
It runs like a file manager and
contains a build-in TXT viewer
(supporting TXT,HTML,INI,INF,CPP,H)
and a build-in graphics viewer.
(supporting BMP,JPEG,PCX,PNG)

It also support EZFlash original
goldenfinger process, which let you
pass the ROM quickly.

There are some problems in using EZ3,
so here is the tips:
About the EZ3, The basic component:

- 1) 256Mbit Flash:
used to place just ROMS, it has the
same operation as EZ1/2 Flash.

- 2) 128Mbit PSRAM:
an extended part of ROM.
Because of the structure of ez3,
it is used to place the ROM
decompressed or copied from
NAND flash. (So That's Why 256M game
can't be placed into NAND Flash)

- 3) 2Mbit SRAM:
this is a saver space.
This part is used to store TXT
viewer progress and a temporary saver
space for the rom you've just played,
also the system messages are stored
here.

- 4) 1GBit Nand Flash:
A place to store date and roms.
Just a storage, because rom can't run
on it.

Tips for using

1) When you are first in,
you can select the language you use,
currently english and chinese.
If this is not the first time.
after you've played a game and have
a save, then you have 2 choices,

1a) Pressing L to escape the saver
backup process, (forget your save)

1b) waiting for saving the saver
stored last time. (store your save)

2) After 1),
you enter to the desktop system.
on the desktop there are several
subitems:

2a) EZ-disk manager.
It manager 256Mbit Flash part
and the 1Gbit Nand EZ-disk.
It can read files, play games,
store savers and view times
(L to view time)

2b) TXT viewer saver manager,
continue the last view process.
If the file does not exists,
it exits to the desktop.

2c) EZ-word is a english learning
system for Chinese.

2d) Minesweeper
You can play a quick game of
minesweeper here

2e) Basic setting.
you can set language and time here.
The first option is the time setting.
and the second the landuage setting.

2f) The Help File
The File You're now reading

3) When you enter the EZ-disk.
*.gba files is in the 256Mbit Flash.
Ez-disk is the 1Gbit Flash part.
It is a Fat16 file system format,
and only surpport 8+3 file name.
When you select a rom and press A
you'll boot the rom with a hardreset,
(alternatively L+A is softreset)
when you want to enable cheats,
you first select goldenfinger data,
then you'll be prompted to select
the cheat you want use. Select the
cheat you want to use and press START
to enter game with cheat the enabled,
or SELECT to quit.
(L+START disables the cheats)

4) Under the Saver directory,
the savers are located here, there
are two types of savers:

4a) *.sav is the auto-save file.
This save file will be used during
loading if no other file has been
selected, also this will be the place
where the saver will be saved after
you've played a game

4b) *.s01-*.s99 manual save files
if you want to store the saver from
last rom you played. you can press
L+R, and then select the name you
want use (up and down to change
number) then Press A to save.
When you want to load the saver
*.s01-*.s99, just press A to load it.
and then select the game accord to
the saver to enter in, thus the
system will not load the autosaver.

5) TXT view.
When in, if you look down and up,
the viewer will store the position
automaticlly, you can load it in the
desktop txt saver manager. START to
enter saver manager, you can select
1 to 4 position to save the txt.
also load in the desktop.

NOTES:

1) Soft reset is faster than hard
reset. hard reset have a logo of
Nintendo. (it'll work with more roms)

2)If you want to reset the game you
can do this by pressing the default
buttons (A+B+Start+Selecte),
alternatively you can also reset back
to the cart itself by pressing
A+B+Start+Select+R at the same time

3) 256Mbit rom on Nand should NOT
run now, now it only support
one 256Mbit ROM on 256Mbit Flash.

---list of changes---

This is a partial rewrite of the EZ3 FAQ reformatted for help file use.

EZ-FLASH 3 uses a OS-like app called
EZPDA for console management.

When starting EZPDA you may select
your language, currently English &
Chinese are supported.

When starting EZPDA, after playing a
game, there will be a save file in
RAM. It will pop up a message and
write the save file to ROM. If you
would rather not write the save,
press L to abort the backup process.

Additionally the current save in RAM
may be saved to any position
*.s01-*.s99 by entering the EZ-disk
manager section or the save folder
and pressing L+R at the same time,
then scroll with the control pad to
the position you wish and press A. In
this way you can have up to 100 saves
for each ROM! or until ROM is full.

To start your ROM with a particular
save simply go to the EZ-disk manager
and into the save folder. Scroll to
the save you want and press A. The
save will be loaded into RAM. Go back
and start the game as you would
normally.

On the desktop there are several
icons:
(1). EZ-disk manager. Shows the
256mbit Flash & the 1Gbit NAND,
From here you can read text files,
play ROMs, store saves & view the
time (press R).
(2). Recently viewed Text.
(3a). EZ-word is an english teaching
program for Chinese speakers.
(3b) Minesweeper. Press start to play
a quick game of minesweeper.
(4). Set up Time & choose language.
(5). This Help file.

When you enter EZ-disk, files will be
displayed as follows: Any ROM in the
256mbit will be displayed in the
first screen under EZ-disk folder.

Select EZ-disk folder & you will see
the Save folder, then under that any
ROMs or other files/folders that you
have placed on the 1Gbit NAND.

At this time the EZ-disk is Fat16 and
only supports 8.3 filenames (this
will be improved in the future)
When you select a ROM, press A to
"hard" reset & load (slower but more
reliable) or L+A to "soft" reset &
load (faster but less compatible).

In the save folder *.sav files are
Auto-saves for each ROM, additional
manual saves *.s01-*.s99 that you
have created will also be here.

TXT Viewer app, this is the veiwer
for .jpg, .txt etc.

Note:
Soft reset (L+A) is faster than Hard
reset (A) but less compatible. if
you encounter a white screen or other
problem, try the Hardreset.

256mbit ROM will NOT RUN on the 1Gbit
nand side at this time! only in
256mbit area (this will be improved
in the future)

In Game Operation

Softreset: A+B+Select+Start will
reset the current game and return
to it's title screen.
R+A+B+Select+Start will reset the
game and return to the EZPDA desktop.

Instant Save: You can save or load in
game anytime. L+R+SELECT+B is save.
L+R+SELECT+A is load.

Cheat: L+R+Select will disable all
cheats in current game, L+R+START
will enable all cheats in current
game.
