EZ-Flash USA Forum

I saw several subjects on the non-workingness of Harvest Moon DS as a flash rom, but that's not what I'm asking here. I own a legal copy of Harvest Moon DS on my DS Lite. I also have, of course, an EZ-Flash III 8Gb GBA cart.

Now, here's my problem. Normally, when you place a copy of 'Friends of Mineral Town' in the GBA slot and play 'Harvest Moon DS', you get extra features, such as new music and friends. Problem is, even with Friends of Mineral Town in the NOR memory, Harvest Moon DS doesn't recognize it as the Friends cart, therefore the extra features aren't unlocked. I know this is a capability with EZ-flash IV, but I sure as hell don't have the money for it, and was wondering if anyone here has gotten such functionality to work. I know there's other games that use that feature, such as Castlevania.
