For those who may not have noticed that the main EZManager thread has been updated...
A new EZManager has been posted. Whats new
Code:
Add homebrew support, please write homebrew on 256M Nor flash. fix the blackscreen on dead when sram data being destoryed.
I have "briefly" tested homebrew. Which means I grabbed one homebrew app that I had floating on my HD, copied it (zipped only it seems) to the NOR side of the cart, which wrote perfectly well.
The new NDS OS didnt "see" the file in the NOR memory and I was unable to access the file. Plugging the cart back into the linker caused EZManager 2.09 to crash, and crash each subsequent load.
Time to erase the cart and try again.
Edit:
Homebrew needs to be in the .ds.gba format. I have only tested precompiled .ds.gba files, and none where prepending a .gba header to a .ds file. Feel free to test this and let me know how it goes.
Since my NOR memory is almost completely broken, I won't be testing much homebrew.
Nice... finally the NOR side is getting used. Did you have to format it each time you wrote something new?

As I said, my NOR memory is virtually useless. Only a few meg is accessible before EZManager locks up and stops working.
So I only tried one game / app and then formatted the NOR memory before trying another.
The biggest issue is that all the files are named the same.
They're all called : EZ3-Name.gba. I have not tried renaming a file just yet, so I can't comment on whether that works or not. However, if it does, then we should be able to get more than one homebrew file on there at a time, if not, then we're stuck with only one.

Don't get your hopes up too fast, it's not all brilliant. Files need to be in the .ds.gba format which is a pain in the arse. Heck the GBA header should be attached to .ds files if not already present. This would save plenty of issues.
A lot of DS homebrew is delived in the .ds format. Some come in the .ds.gba format too, however I've only succeeded in getting one app to run so far.
Lastly, the fix for EZManager 2.09 Final is online in the main download thread.
