In the interest of splitting the discussion between Cory's GBALdr and Rudolph's 3in1 ExpPack, I have started this thread.

This nifty program allows the use of the EZ-Flash Triple-pack from any slot-1 device. It has added features for users of the R4/M3S and DS-Link.

- Enable rumble mode for R4/DS-Link
- DSBrowser patch on the fly
- NOR management
- Run backups from PSRAM

Savegames from NOR and PSRAM backups do not interfere with each other. Additionally, it also appears to play nicely with the much nicer looking (and English) GBALdr.

Unfortunately there is a bit of a language barrier between the author and the English-speaking world, so it's Japanese only for now.

However, older working versions are available in English:

Version 1.3

Version 0.1 (Rumble mode and DSBrowser patch only)

Running games from PSRAM with the 3in1 ExpPack Tool will not interfere with saves for games written by GBALdr, but GBALdr will overwrite the save data and filename info written by the 3in1 ExpPack Tool.

If you want to use both programs, manually back up the save for the last game you launched in the 3in1 ExpPack Tool before writing a game to NOR with GBALdr. You should also probably use a different folder for saves for each app, because GBALdr uses 256k save files and the 3in1 ExpPack Tool uses 128k save files.

3in1 Expansion Pack Tool v1.8
[code]====== 3in1 Expansion Pack Tool V1.8 ======

This is a program for managing games, saves and features on the EZ-Flash 3in1 expansion
cart. It allows GBA games up to 16MB to be run from PSRAM, so you no longer have to flash
a game to NOR before you can play it.

Soft reset is supported on the R4/M3 Simply (soft reset must be enabled in the R4/M3 game
menu) and the DSLink. This allows rumble and browser support to be enabled without
patches for these flashcarts. It also allows the game in PSRAM to be used for DS<->GBA
linkage.

English and Japanese languages are supported. If the DS is set to Japanese, the program
will use Japanese. Otherwise, the program will be in English.

====== Setup ======

You may need to apply the DLDI patch for your flashcart before using this app.
Version 1.8 is pre-patched for the R4/M3 Simply.

Create a folder named "GBA" in the root of your memory card, and create a folder named
"Save" inside the GBA folder. GBA backups go in the /GBA folder. Saves will be placed
in the /GBA/SAVE folder.

GBA frames are supported. The 3in1 ExpPack Tool will look for "gbaframe.bmp" in the /GBA
folder and the /_system_ folder, in that order. Frames must be 8-bit or 24-bit bitmap
files with a resolution of 256x192.

Games with EEPROM and 512kbit Flash save types need to be patched with the EZ4 Client or
GBATA. Games with 1024kbit Flash save types need to be patched with the EZ4 Client.

Thank you for the translation in English.
I will respect the understanding of two or more languages.
Even if sentences in English use the translation tool, I do not understand the half.
Therefore, though it cannot help you.
May this translation be adopted for readme?

Yes.

I do not understand Japanese. I used Google Translate, and rewrote the information in English. The translation was very bad, so some information may be missing.

Will all new versions of 3in1 ExpPack Tool be Japanese only?

Completely, when a new function is added, it thinks.
Neither present v1.3 nor v1.6 have the difference of the function other than for Japanese.
Moreover, the source opening to the public is prepared.

Systran is an application made for the main languages in Asia and the main languages in the rest of the world both-ways-translation. It translate almost every word, but it has its limitation on the grammar.

flastosh:
The text you presented become:

There are several version of Systran, but the most functional version for web-translation is of course the Systran Webtranslator 5.0. If you want to go for a "torrent" version I recomend the Systran 4.0 since it has no online required registration. At the same time you will be able to use updated dictionaries.

For those of you that prefer using altavista or google translator... Have you ever considered the risk that those sites have something to gain offering translation of your web pages for free?

I'm not interested in vague warnings about unspecified threats. Present a concrete argument about this risk and I'll consider it.
