I tried with the special mode too, but it's not work.

@Mbmax, i know that black screen mean not ez5isys.bin on the sd-card, but in the old Kernel was only ez5sys.bin. And i tried old Kernel with the old Firmware too but it's not work now. And when I copy ez5isys.bin in old Kernel folder, then I see Boot screen but it's not Loading. Is there a possibility to install old Kernel with old Firmware that it working? Now working only new Kernel and new Firmware, and old will not working. I not understand this, the Games was working with old Firmware and old Kernel and with new Firmware + new Kernel dont work. Why?

Just to be clear :

Once the firmware v101 update done (firmware's .nds launched and update done), you can't and i repeat can't use anything than k3.0ob1 or better. old kernel will no more boot on it (black screens).

Also, once in firmware v101, you can't and i repat you can't downgrade to an older firmware.
And overall, you should never try to downgrade the firmware, or you will brick your EZ5i. Don't try to do that ! You are warned.

If my memory is good, only 2 games can't run on ez5i v101 + k3.0ob1 where they run fine in k2.0RC16 :
Puzzle Quest 2 & Best friends tonight.
Will be fixed in 3.0ob2

Now in comparaison of what people loose when they stay in old firmware and old kernel 2.0RC16 on their EZ5i : viewtopic.php?p=65622#p65622
Almost 80 games will not run in old firmware !

You have choosen your camp. I think it's the right decision, no ?

I understnd now why I can't run old Firmware. I will not more to try. I do not belive that my ez5i is bricked now. She's work normally,but I dont understand why freezeing the Games? It's not unknow Games, it's famous Games.
I know the thread what you give me..
I belive which inclined went.

I do not know just one.. Why dont work Games with new Firmware, that works with old Firmware?

The team will release it as it is in current binary build. Some games will still need fixing, but it's better than nothing.

Can someone PLZ HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM!!! I tried to run the new EZ5i firmware v101 with my ez-flash vi but after that my flash always gives me a completely black screen?! I also try changing the memory card but it it still gives me the black screen problem. This also happen even if I remove the memory card! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me!!! THANKS!!!

Why not use kernel 3.0ob2 on your microsd to avoid those black screens ?

i was previously in kernel 3.0 0b1 but sega all star racing don't wanted to work (always black screen)

so i updated the kernel to 3.0 0b2 and now when i start the ezflash vi i got a black screen and nothing happen

what can i do?

Enabled special mode and set a speed, 5 for example.

can't do that

directly i launch the card by selection juju chalenge on the ds menu i have a black screen.

no logo, ... nothing

i have done nothing else than replace ob1 file by ob2

2 posssible explanation then :
- you don't own an EZ5i.
- your EZ5i is not up to date concerning its firmware version. Should be v101.
