Most of your problem can be fixed just with the firmware revision 5 and the kernel 1.90OB10.

Concerning DSlinux, the EZ 3in1 Plus is not supprted yet. I doubt someone care about on day adding this at DSlinux forum, but you can give a try here.

And last, NDS backup tool has not been updated since a long time by Rudolph so i doubt it support the ez 3in1 Plus.

i have the latest 1.90obo firmware ( beta 11) and I have the same problems with the guitar hero roms. Also dslinux, but you've answered that one so maybe I will chase that down. I was using dslinux without a mem expansion on my gbamp and as you can guess it was quite useless. Honestly I wasn't expecting the extra memory to make dslinux that much cooler, but it was one of the reasons i bought the ezvi with the 3-in-1

Until someone at DSlinux forum add the support for the ez 3in1 Plus, ez team can't do nothing about that.

Concerning guitar hero, someone has reported the bug in the bugtracker, so wait for a fix.

I was lucky enough not to have to wait, and I traded my EZFlashVi for an EZFlash+. Guitar hero works great on it now.

FWIW, so does DSLinux...

I am the last developer of DSLinux and I'd like to offer assistance in getting the EZ Flash Vi working. Could someone from the EZ technical team please contact me over at the DSLinux forums.

Thanks

p.s DSLinux dev team cannot add support without help from the manufacturers, we aren't mind readers!

Great, that'll help me get the newer 3-in-1 hardware supported as extra RAM, but that doesn't help me figure out why the EZ Vi cannot boot DSLinux.
