This thread should be up to date so feel free to link to it.

In an attempt clean the the massive group of stickies I unstickied a bunch of them and linked them here. If this proves unpopular say so (there is a bugmenot account) and the original arrangement will return. Remember to read the wiki ( wiki )and also have a look at the GBAtemp wiki ( http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/3_in_1_Exp ... EZ-Flash_V).

Community.
IRC channel thread:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3414
The channel is #ezflash on the irc.irchighway.net irc network (normal ports 6660 to 6669 and 7000 and SSL on 9999).

EZ5 related threads.
Quickstart (left stickied)

All you need for the EZ5 (now on the wiki, left stickied again)
wiki/index.php?title=ALL_YOU_NEED_FOR_EZV

EZ5i 3.0 kernel OB8
This is only for EZ5i users, EZ5, EZ5 nye and EZ5 plus users have the 2.0 line. Based on the well liked 2.0 line this line brings big changes to the EZ5i in terms of DLDI/write speed (as of OB7 ARGV support for homebrews is in as well), ROM running and a few choice features.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17718

Note- as of 3.0 OB6 kernel the internal firmware v103 or newer is now the required firmware (check with the changelogs).

EZ5 2.0 kernel R20
As game fixes are not being ported back to older kernel lines as of late 2009 we are suggesting everyone use the 2.0 kernels unless you have a reason (the odd bit of homebrew and support for odd cheats mainly).
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17107&start=0

EZ5i firmware / internal firmware / core updates
The EZ5i features the ability to update the core of the card, which has since brought fixes for stability, DSi firmwares that block flash cards, 3ds firmwares that block flash cards and as of v101 it brings changes to the way roms work, improvements to cart speed and more.
This is the thread used to discuss the updates, the first post contains links to the downloads.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13991

EZ5i unbricker
Occasionally the EZ5i might fail to update properly and will essentially be bricked (typically this happened to people doing updates from earlier versions to v11 and beyond and from v11 and beyond to v101 and some later updates in the v1?? line but if yours broke during a firmware update give this a go). Instructions in the topic but it requires a working DS slot flash cart and a DS or DS lite (DSi and 3ds do not support hotswapping DS carts).

EZ5 Skin time machine; got a skin for an older kernel ( 1.6+/1.7+/1.8+/1.9+ ) that you like but will not work on the 2.0 line? This will fix it

An ini file creator aimed at skin makers/tweakers was released for 1.8x open beta 2 and an updated version released in August 2008:

Cheats
GBAtemp hosts an EZ5 compatible database:

Cheat code transfer tool (somewhat outdated)

3 in 1 tools
The EZ5 loader supports the 3 in 1 but third party tools have some interesting features (not to mention the RC line is still a bit patchy for some)
There are 3 main tools
Rudolphs GBA ExpLoader. Formerly 3in1 ExpPack tool. Presently the only third party support for the 3 in 1 plus.

EZ5 DLDI development
A new development thread was made and can be found here.

Links to the current source code can be found there and is also available here:

An older thread on the subject (quite a while before the EZ5 plus was available) can be found here

EZ5 general technical data thread
This thread has much of the low level information in a more organised format than it is here.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=15100

Older software
EZ5 2.0 line
Now in "release candidate" form the 2.0 line is a rewrite of the entire kernel for speed. General consensus is that they work and do so very well but some may find them still a bit rough and ready (some of the features may not be present or not work correctly).

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=16477

EZ5 beta loader (1.9 line) Should you need to find older topics search.php?author_id=258&sr=posts
Current:
1.90 open beta 11
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14082

1.90 open beta 8 has been left as some have had issues with OB9 and OB10.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13660

1.8x open beta 2. Left for now as is has some interesting info on the design choices.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12903

EZ5 Stable loader
1.86h
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13662
Note EZ5i/EZVi users will need at least 1.90 open beta 6 for now.

Also available is the savelist using loader, they are somewhat useful for the newer games that feature protection against flashcarts as clean mode is about as close to an emulator/"real hardware" as you can get.
Only original and nye/v2 users can use this (if your EZ5 supports SDHC you can not use it).
Again EZ5i/EZVi users will need at least 1.90 open beta 6 for now and running older kernels may brick the device.
Here is 1.70 (the last version to use it).
http://www.ezflash.cn/zip/ez5kernel080202.zip

If you want a changelog for the stable versions then:
wiki/index.php?title=EZV_Kernel_Change_Log
Note the above link does not necessarily include the changes from the betas, they are in the beta link below.

GBAtemp has mirrors of the older versions here:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?dlcategory=43

Here is the open beta changelog for the 3 rounds (1.90, 1.8X and 1.72)
wiki/index.php?title=EZV_Open_Beta_Kernel_Change_Log
GBAtemp also has mirrors of these versions if you want them for whatever reason:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?dlcategory=43

resetsp.bin
Note there has not been an update to this since early April 2009, the newer 1.9x kernels and the 2.0 more or less did away with it.

Any new resetsp.bin should be among the first page of threads or in the beta updates (note that the format was changed so older users (those with the savelist) will not be able to use it).
resetsp.bin is a very important part of the EZ5 in that is has reset patches* and fixes for roms.
*1.90 open beta 10 added a so called mode2 soft reset that does not need a resetsp.bin to work although compatibility may be lower.

Savelist. The newest kernels have rendered it not of much use but there are some who still use the older kernels:
XML2ezsave (list creation tool and save list discussion topic)
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12923

Old thread with specifications (please do not reply in it)
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3414

GBA xcode (used by the entire EZFlash range to sort GBA functions like cheats and reset). Can be used with the 3 in 1 tools or place in the /moonshl directory for the 1.8x beta (and beyond) kernels.
