 Post subject: A question about this, and Pokemon saves

I heard a rumor that this device can read and write save files on commercial game cartridges. I also heard that it can even do this on Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver games, although an alteration must first be made to the game cartridge. Can anybody here confirm this and give further details? Thanks in advance.
