Here is a copy of the template file I use to make my skins. It is a compilation of other templates floating around, combinded into one PSD file, it includes the guides to help cut out segments, and marks the glicth section of the top image that effects the select.jpg file. This way you can work around it. Here is an "in use" application, I used my astro DS skin as an example. I set this template to be 30% transparent, so that i can work over it. and see where everything lines up. Hope this helps someone.

i think you should also add in where the NDS loader version info goes [in white] and where is says //Disk or something, being a non-EZ4 owner i didn't realise this info till slade showed me pics of my loader in action.
i think that would be helpful too. :D nice job none the less

I would appreciate it if you give credits where it is due, rather than being this template that's floating around. Thank you.

I'm sorry, at the time I did not bother to go hunt down the post where i found the template. If the "template floating around" is yours then you deserve credit. however I do not make it a point nor will i, to address every person that happens to be involved in any project i do..

credit goes out to....

to.. bill gates for windows for who i use in creating this file
to.. adobe for the wonderfull software used in the template
to.. the admins of sosuke forum
to.. whomever wrote the php for this forum
to.. the person who invented php

now that being said, please reframe for bugging me about credit. I honor the work you guys do, and if you want to be recognized.. SPEAK UP... I don't toot anyones horn.

you did notice I did not take creadit for the tempates only the creation of the PSD file.

You are obviously not giving any respect for the work that I did in making my template, which is still on the first page if you even bothered http://www.sosuke.com/ezflash/viewtopic.php?t=1503 .

The point of credit is in the direct creation, not indirect. The Sosuke mods or Bill Gates did not have any direct work on my template. I did. You think a designer is gonna be happy if someone steals his design and adds his own claiming it as their's? No. You brought an idea to your boss to present to a client, but your boss took all the credit, you think you're gonna be happy? No.

And you put right on top there "zone97's DSloader template file." How do you think that represents? People will think it's all your work. From looking at this board, you were always the culprit in changing other people's work without much credit. The thing you need to understand is respect for other people's work.

I always used CWar's template for creating my skins. I did some changes to it tho.

CWar, mind if I send you by PM my photoshop templates that I created from yours and look at them to see if you want to update yours with mine?

Im not going to get into a flame war with you, so get your panties out of a wad. Did you create this PSD file.. NO, did you bother putting both files togther as one.. NO. you release SIMPLE jpgs. I added to them and then they became mine.

you paint a sun, if i come in and add the river, mountains, trees, clouds, animals.. whos painting is it now. again i will repeat. I dont claim the templates, I claim the PSD file i created and I released as mine, for I created it from YOUR fucking jpgs. So quit crying about it. Use the fucking thing or shut up.

damn.

Like I've said, I created my part of the template, you created your part of the template. But the original file still came from me. You did not create it, I did. It is with respect that you have to give credit because I do not like your disrespect for my work. I am not asking you to put it down, because it would help other people. However, I want credit. I do not understand why it is so hard for you to understand the term respect for other people's work. You may not understand anything about credit or copyright now. But next time in real life, you will understand.

Using your painting example, the painting won't be the person who drew the other things. It will be a collaboration of both. Credit being given to the first person for drawing the sun, credit for the others being for the other person. Same with 2 designers, 1 designing the top, the other the bottom. The whole clothing will be a collaboration of both.

I appreciate any improvements to my template, as long as credit is given where it is due.

lol, Zone i think you have a problem understanding why credits are there for.
Obviously CWar made this design HERE
and im not too sure about the top screen if thats masahiko's or CWar's.

but the difference is zone, all you have done it put 2 individuals works together, neither which are yours as well. not to sure how that is your idea.

Just put the damn credit where it is needed. Simple as that, dont be a jerk about it either. They did the work you used their ideas so credit them considering this topic is sticky'd people are gunna see this one more than others.
the fact that you have titled the thread Skin: (zone97's DSloader template file) is gunna piss off the people that did all the work. your either like 13 and dont understand where credit is needed, or your just a **** ****.
Regardless if you were gunna go above and beyond for everyone to make this template perfect, you should also add a window.jpg and select.jpg titles. Never mind maybe ill just rip your entire post and edit those to changes and then title the thread Skin: (S2561588's DSloader template file). Sounds fair.

Isnt this the 3rd time your have done something like this now.
1-copy my work [ripping the loader idea and design]
2-copying masahiko loader [changing a color and gba loader and making it available to public before he could finish his loader]
3- and this

sounds like 3 strikes to me.
for THIS thread all you had to say was titled it maybe 'EZ4 loader Temple, ALL' [there was no need for you name to be there to take credit] and then say who ACTUALLY made the templates.

I've have no problem with anything I have said or done, nor do I have any intentions of explaining myself to anyone. Simple matter is, I will release things as I SEE FIT TO, and you all can use it or not. If I change something on whatever it may be, and feel that it will be usefull, I WILL RELEASE IT AS SOMETHING THAT I HAVE DONE! No credit will be posted for anyone.. I do not want to waist any more of my time with this bull shit. You people know who has done what, you figure it out. I will not claim credit for the orginal IDEAS, or GRAPHICS ect... I will however claim ALL CREDIT for the item that is created by placing these items together as long as no one else has released it FIRST!

This will be my last post on the subject. I am not a jerk, I am not 13.. And I am not going to waist my time reseaching who did what so they can feel special. You want to feel special.... Do what I did. dont be halfass about things. You made the JPG.. great, release more, make the PSD, add the guides. some people can't use just the JPG. OR i can just pull my work, and you guys can loose a contributor to the scene.

Agreed.

Please folks. Lets calm it down a notch. I've spent more time on derailed threads, on closing threads, etc than I used to in the past. I realise with more people we are going to have clashes in personality, etc. It's a forum, it's meant to be fun and helpful. Lets try and keep it that way.

As for who's claiming what credits. Thats only manners. If people are releasing a compilation of someone elses works and idea's then it's only polite to credit them with the initial ideas. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't cost money, all it takes is a little bit of time, and it keeps the peace.
