Actually, the "scene" got pretty much spanked on this one... not that it matters much, after all. On to the game! 8)

So the save game size for Zelda is apparently 4Mbit... could this be a source of trouble? I think it is on EZ5.

all the sites I seen have it as 4mbit save, I think using a lower size save file can cause loss of save game or something ^_^

Sorry, maybe I wasn't that clear in my wording. When I loaded Zelda on my SD card with the client, using your ROM list, it still read 2Mbit - that's what I was worried about.

Funny enough it's a 2mbit (256kbyte) save file on my microSD card too, still works fine, though not gonna risk using both save slots incase that somehow messes things up ^_^ lol

On my EZ4 lite, I loaded Zelda PH through EZ client 1.04 with EZ4Patch.dll version 1.2.5.9 with the most current romlist. It loaded a 256kbyte save onto my microsd card. When I load Zelda, save a game, restart the ds, watch it write the save to the card, then load Zelda up again, the save is still there.

However, When I save, restart, go into any other game, save, restart, then load Zelda again, it says either a new save has been created or my save is corrupt and starts a new game. Very weird. Pretty sure it has to do with the 4Mb save not being created correctly.

Shouldn't it be creating a 512kbyte save since the entry is set to Flash 4Mb in the romlist?

I thought it was my patch dll or my client version but I updated both. Anyone experience this so far?

Although I don't think it should matter much for this, my ez4 lite has kernel 1.73

I just tried changing games, then loading zelda back up, and the save worked fine as a 2mbit save for me ^_^

Do EZ4 client and kernel even really know about 4Mbit save sizes anyway?

Well at least for Pokemon they do, I thought maybe I was completely crazy ( 8) ) and Pokemon Diamond never saved correctly (I haven't played it in a while). I tried the same thing I said above, but instead loaded Pokemon after zelda and saved in it, and Pokemon showed up after restart as saving to a "[512k]" save. But for some reason even if I place a blank 4Mb save from say Pokemon after it is sent through the patcher and rename it to the same as my zelda.nds or what have you. When I load up zelda for the first time, all goes well and no error messages, but when I save then restart, it shows as saving a "[256k]" save. But the file size on the card is still 256k. However, even though the file size is 256k, it still gets corrupted by restarting and loading another game. I guess its not that big of a deal now, I can just play my original for the time being. I just don't want to get to far into the game on my original when I know I'm going to want to have it on my EZ4 later.

Thanks for the help!

I tried playing Cooking Mama, restarting my DS and loading Zelda: my save was still there and loaded correctly. Maybe it's just 4Mbit save file games (Pokemon) that can cause this issue?

Ok, I've been doing so much save swapping that I don't know what's what. I'm going try it again with everything fresh and see if I fair better. I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't know, it still works fine here and it still is 256kb. My guess was you shouldn't use both save slots in the game - if that's not making a difference, I'm clueless.
