Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga will not save !!

I am playing this game with gameboy micro, and on ez flash IV.
It doesn't save the game after I turn off the gameboy.
Does anybody have a patch or know how to work this thing out?

Are you using a Micro SD to MiniSD adapter?
