Ok, I asked at gbatemp, but I didnt get answers. All people here were ultra helpful way back with my EZFlash 3. So, Im copy/pasting the questions here:

-Ive read that the EZFlash IV has the 256 Mb area as the EZFlash 3 did. Does that mean that you're limited to have only one 256 Mb GBA game at the time or you can run semi-directly a 256Mb GBA roms from the NAND (Mini SD)?

-I remember that the last clients for the EZFlash 3 allow to run 256 Mb GBA roms from the NAND, but in order to do that, it has to be transfered to the 256 Mb first, and that took as long as 20 minutes. I really like the fact that I can run several 256 Mb roms from my M3 at any given time, so this really concerns me.

- I also want to know the Mini SD brand you're using and if you're getting any kind of slowdown in Games like Castlevania (Intro), Age of Empires, Tony Hawk and Resident Evil. All of them works near perfect on my Sandisk Ultra II, but I want to know if I really need to get a 120X or something like that to get the best performance.

Hope someone could help me with these questions.

Peace

Sounds like you're not leet enough  Don't worry, neither am I.

1/ You read correct. The EZ4 does indeed have 256Mbits of NOR memory. What it means is that you can store as many GBA games as you like on your Mini-SD card, and even mix and match (?) with NDS games. However GBA games are either transferred to PSRam or NOR memory.

2/ I can't comment on the speed of the Transfer. Very few people have an EZ4. Luney may do a test for you if you ask him nicely. However all games need to be either transferred to NOR or PSRam. The PSRam should be just as fast as it is on the EZ3, if not faster.

3/ Hanafuda is asking the same question. At this stage I don't think enough people own the carts to get an idea. Once they become more readily available, then I'm sure that info will start to spread. Also, not all cards list the speeds on them. Compiling a list isn't a bad thing though.

As always, you were very Helpful Slade. Thank You.

It seems I will have to hold my M3 for a while. It was "perfect" for my old DS, but for my Lite...I need something more...huh...Light.

Peace

I also a potential buyer. I own an EZ3 an love it. I also have an M3, but I would like another, GBA size, flash device for my DS. My question... is there any slowdown in the Castlevania DoS intro? Also does the Spiderman into play all the way through perfectly. I had problems with that with my M3 and I was wondering if EZ4 didn't have that problem.

i would like to know some more about EZF4 Lite.

What are the differences between EZF4 and EZF4 lite ? Should be just dimensions, but how much smaller will it be ?

i would like to get a NDS lite sooner or later, at the moment i have an "old" DS and i am trying to figure out if it's better to wait for EZF4 lite or get EZF4

will EZF4 Lite work with "old" DS ?

All we know about the EZ4lite is that microSD rather than miniSD is planned to be used and that it is designed to fit entirely in the GBA slot of a lite: it will be too small to fit in a normal DS/GBA unless the EZTeam do something fun with the cases (extra section or something).

There is no word as of yet as to the lites release.

@Dreary79 I have no word on the castlevania intro, when Jandaman gets some in (it is about the only shop that takes my debit card: I dislike paypal a great deal [/putting it mildly]) I will tell you (personally I will drop the intro from the final rom but in the interests of science I will try), it also may be SD brand/speed dependent.

Spiderman apparently works according to the compatibility list: http://www.ezflash.cn/list.htm although I suspect that list is a boot/first save point type of list.

The EZ4 has it's fair share of problems (we are still on alpha clients after all) but anyone who remembers the early days of the EZ3/DS rom patching (and most other EZ products) will remember they did not have the greatest start in life and later turned out at least quite good.

Thx FAST6191, I've cut the Castlevania intro for m3 and ez3. I guess I want it to run perfect because I'm affaid of getting an rpg that is video heavy and I won't be albe to enjoy it because it runs choppy.

i know i am offtopic and this news is old, but it might interest someone

there is another flash cart only for DS which looks promising

http://www.ninjads.com

http://www.samuraids.tw

it uses sd card, plugs in the DS slot and doesn't require anything else

reminds me of the NeoFlash MK2/3

i have searched and it seems there is a shop ( http://www.wilki.com/product_info.php?products_id=28 ) who is preordering it. It *should* be available on the 15' of May

someone has more details on that product ?

I think the NinjaDS was first but it may have been the other way around. But the SamuraiDS looks like a total ripoff on the design. They used the same rendered picture as the NinjaDS with just a label change! They are both ripoffs of the Neo MK2/3 too. I wouldn't trust either of them. They are gonna be shoddy like EZFA, SC ripoffs for GBA I'm sure.

That photo looks like a styrofoam concept model to be honest.
