I got extremely frustrated with the EZFlash IV GBA, so I decided to delete all the data from the SD card and starg over. I reformatted it and everything.
I tried starting over, put the ezfla_up.bin on the root of the SD card. I held down the R button on the Gameboy Advance and turned on the system, but it started up how it usually did. Nothing changed, it didn't update or anything. I tested it on a different Gameboy to make sure it wasn't something wrong with the handheld itself, but still, the same result.
The EZ Flash IV is acting like I didn't delete anything at all.
I just need help restarting the whole thing. Please Help.
What was the source of your frustration? perhaps we can help with that instead.
If you deleted everything off the miniSD card (you are using a miniSD and not a miniSD adapter aren't you?) everything but what you put on the NOR (which if you are viewing that press start to be given the option to format it) should be gone save perhaps for any saves held in SRAM.
That nothing came up when you held R speaks either to broken buttons (shoulder buttons are not the most reliable things on the GBA and DS) or the cart not being detected in which case the pins want to be cleaned (a cotton bud/qtip and something like pure acetone nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol work if you lack proper electrical cleaning stuff).
