I know internal battery issues have been questioned to death but basically when i received my e-z flash cart 4, the games (pokemon/zelda) would not save due to the battery being dry. I looked it up and found I should leave my gameboy running to recharge it. I left it on overnight and found that it didnt recharge. I went online and found that my battery was not rechargable so I bought a new one. This one is rechargable. I have left it on overnight and it still isn't charged as when i play pokemon sapphire it says "internal battery has run dry" and will not save, also pokemon fire red says "1m sub-circuit board is not installed" and i think that is basically the same problem.

How do i fix this?

You need to apply this clock patch: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17706

It's not a matter of the battery running dry it's because the EZ Flash IV does not have a RTC clock in it, so you need to patch the games that use the clock.
