I just bought a new EZ-Flash IV to use with my GB Micro. All games load and run fine, but NONE of them are saving properly.

When the EZF is writing saves, it says it's writing whatever the ROM name is with a sav extension, but when I open the saver folder, it's always something different with some useless extension taken from part of the file name (for example Advance Wars becomes something like advanc.ewa). These files are always 0k in size.

When I open the SD in the computer, I am unable to erase any of the files inside the saver folder or the saver folder itself -- when I try, it always says that the file is no longer there and to check the path.

This is what I have tried to fix the problem:

1) tried to use the newest version of ezfla_up.bin, which I got here: http://filetrip.net/f4753-EZ4-Client-2009-04-03.html (although I did try an older version just to be sure)

2) made sure the file names were less than 45 characters long

3) did a check disk of the SD, checking both "automatically fix file system errors" and "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors". It found no errors.

4) used a program called Disk Check on the SD and did a full scan. Found no errors.

5) formatted the SD, put a folder called SAVER on the root, and put a few .sav files created by Visual Boy Advance that have the exact name as the ROM. When the EZF4 writes to the SD, it overwrites this folder and puts in the same zero k useless files described above.

I'm out of ideas at this point.
