EZ-Flash USA Forum

Hey everyone,

Pretty much asking what in put in the title.

I got an SP today and i also bought a EZ Flash IV! Ive been all over the net for instructions about 'What a Client is', 'What Kernal is', 'How to install Kernal and the client' and how to transfer roms and install emulators

What doesn't help is that i start my SP with the Flash IV and its in Chinese?!?! i can't even read the help file

So, im asking for a little help to get me going...

Client- the program used to patch roms.

If you AV program acts up tell it to be quiet (they seem to dislike WGET despite it doing nothing)

You transfer roms by pressing open, browsing to the rom (it can still be in zip or rar format) and then after pressing OK you press send. Emulators (I assume you mean GBA emulators), they tend to have their own bundling/build methods and tools (some will just want you to add files to the end of the emulator, others will require their own custom program- check any readmes for this sort of thing) but after that first try sending via EZ4client and if that fails try copying them straight over and if that fails browse some of the stickies or post.

Kernel- the code the EZ4 itself runs to launch roms with.
It is called ezfla_up.bin (it is in the link above), you write it to the EZ4 by holding R when booting up. You will have to do this again if you change the skin.
Regarding your Chinese program press down three times, a three times, down once and then press a one final time.
