1.) load your Zelda game to your 3-in-1
2.) load your save to your 3-in-1
I have tried the 1.36 and the 1.37 firmware. Same issue. Everything works except for copying a GBA.sav file to the expansion pack. It just doesn't happen.
hi guys i have downloaded the latest shell and uploader and now all gba games save . all you do is highlite game you want to load press a it backs up then writes you can then turn off then on again and highlite a new game it backs up then writes you can go back to first game useing same routine and it backs up and you can play from where you were...
i'm having trouble saving with pocketnes and especially goomba. pocketnes saves some things but loses some as well, and goomba just crashes when you try and load saved data. i think that it's because they need 64kB save files. it sucks because those were the main reason i wanted the 3 in 1 since my ez2 is dead.

Well the only thing that doesn't work well is the naming process when ezV backup gbasave to microSD.
Some games doesn't have .sav extension at the end and i'm not sure but i think i have found why ...
To give a name to save file, EzV look at the header of the rom and grab internal + serial information. Then the save file look like : internal + serial.sav
With MK it's MARIO KART AMKP01, in hex with one before and one after :
07 4D 41 52 49 4F 20 4B 41 52 54 00 00 41 4D 4B 50 30 31 96
This one have the problem with no extension sav at the end when backuped to microSD and i think the hex 00 value beetwen internal name and serial is why it's not working well.
The save name created by ezV is MARIO KART and need to be renamed in MARIO KART.sav In fact it sould be MARIO KART AMKP01.sav
With HNK it's AGB KIRBY DXA7KP01, in hex :
07 41 47 42 20 4B 49 52 42 59 20 44 58 41 37 4B 50 30 31 96
The save name created by ezV is AGB KIRBY DXA7KP01.sav and there's no problem with this one.
See, there is no 00 hex value but 20 to separate internal name and serial.

It's me again.
Well Mbmax you're right !
Hum sorry ...
So the last test i've done is change the 00 value into 20 value in header of gba rom and now the save got the right name (MARIO KART AMKP01.sav)
I'm 100% sure that's why some gba save does not have .sav extension.
PS : i use hedit to modify hex value and gbata to recalculate crc rom. Than ez4 client to patch save size. Yep, it's not a easy way to fix the problem but while waiting for a kernel upgrade ...
